Randal Huiskens has been playing drums for over 15 years. In that time, he has played in over a dozen bands and has played hundreds of live shows, traveling in vans with over much of the country. He has released several records with various bands, including Just Say No's Let's Do It LP/CD,Food Chain's Live at the Loft CD and God Wafer's Music For Heathens CD.
Randal is currently playing drums for Scanning Babies, filling the very big shoes of the late Tim Rutkowski. You can catch Scanning Babies with Randal on drums at
Other current projects include a permanent stint with God Wafer as Johnny Everwood, playing keyboards and other drums. In addition, Randal is also recording projects in Pete Downes' Bigger Than Huge Studio, laying drum tracks for Pete's upcoming Freebus III (as yet untitled) CD Release.

Just Say No consists of former members of The Fix, The Meatmen and Violent Apathy and merges this formation into a mixture of energy-loaded White Noise. The music is heavy mid-tempo rock with wall-of-sound guitars and huge bass and rhythm. In the 2 years Randal was in the band, they produced 4 records, did two long-distance tours, and played hundreds of shows all over the Mid-West with several East Coast "long weekend" gigs. CROTCH was formed in 1990 while Randal was living at the infamous "Punk Hell" house. The band rehearsed for a few months, then played several shows over the next year. While opening for more well-known acts, CROTCH would usually steal the show with their unique blend of DIY punk rock and overt sexuality. Food Chain was formed in 1993 in an attic in the Andersenville neighborhood of Chicago, and began playing shows around the Midwest, including making regular appearances at the now defunct Avalon Niteclub on Belmont Ave. In 1994, the band moved to a giant loft just south of the Loop and over the next several years, hosted huge parties with a ton of local bands. In 1995, they released the CD Live At The Loft, including the songs "BMW" and "Skinny Dog." Their music has been compared to such diverse artists as Frank Zappa, The Dead Kennedys and King Crimson.
